As I’ve been writing my blog posts for the past few weeks I’ve been working on a project of my own and taking the steps that I wrote about each week! For this project, my wonderful partner and I had completed a total redesign for the existing Connecticut Wine Guide and Passport app. Aside from the general content of the app, we build the new design from the ground up. We wanted something that felt elegant but modern at the same time. After massive amounts of research, we decided on a classy typeface and color palette to use with high quality images. We built out each and every page of the app and finished with a total of 87! Each page is linked within our fully functional prototype linked here!
This app is made to be used not only as a virtual passport, but as a guide to around wineries throughout Connecticut, and wine pairing. By creating a profile, you are able to personalize your Connecticut winery experience. With this app you are able to favorite specific wineries that you’ve enjoyed in the past or look forward to going to in the future. Each winery description includes all methods to get into contact with the winery, as well as photos to get a sense of the beautiful scenery you are able to visit. You are also able to bookmark specific wine pairings that you’ve tried or are looking to try. The opportunities with the new design and functionality are endless.
